In the last few months, we have taken the first steps towards turning our vision into reality and thus changing the way we work together in the logistics industry forever.
One of the most frequently asked question is about how we think the future of logistics will look like. In today´s post we will deal with exact this topic and discuss our thoughts. The logistic industry is one of the biggest industries worldwide. The change of this huge industry brings many risks but also many opportunities for those who will be quick enough to switch to modern technologies at an early stage. After more than 500 expert interviews across the whole industry we want to discuss this topic briefly.
Today, the B2B markets are confronted with many threads as well as the demand for many changes. The intervals at which the demands on logistics change are becoming shorter and shorter. In addition, the current corona crisis has exacerbated previous problems in supply chains and underlined how important well-functioning supply chains are for the economy in general. The desire for more transparency, data exchange and cross-company processes is therefore becoming ever greater. The topic of supply coordination holds great efficiency potentials for this. The problems caused by a lack of information, poor communication and inefficient processes can be found across all industries and have been a perennial problem for a long time. Therefore, the demand for optimization is high. After all, there is an enormous amount of work involved in coordinating deliveries behind punctual supply to production and on-time delivery to customers.
One thing stands out immediately. The slow and old-fashioned processes need to be replaced by a more efficient way of exchanging goods. We know that the future of logistics will be digital. But what will a digital solution look like?
Today, we already have customers that work with our applications on a daily basis and boost their businesses. In terms of applications our current software is able to manage nearly every required task that is required to perform efficient warehouse processes.
When a process is digitalized end-to-end and integrated within the company, automation and optimization of many steps becomes possible. In the case of delivery coordination, as many things as unloading or picking, which today are planned with a lot of effort and with only moderate success, can be controlled automatically. For example, a shift plan for employees no longer has to be created manually, but from the forecast of deliveries and the availability of employees and their competence profiles, the best possible plan can be calculated fully automatically in a few seconds.
By keep centering our future steps on the needs and thoughts of our customers we aim at continuously developing a sustainable and sharp platform, which will always be top of things when it comes to the future of logistic B2B processes. In order to do so, we keep ensuring to work with the best team, best board members and our very highest motivation.
All the best, Max & Team TradeLink
